The West Village bushes can stay their sweaters in the end, town says.
Parks Division bureaucrats have repealed their decree to snip off just about two dozen crocheted sweaters wrapped round Christopher Boulevard boulevard bushes following ultimate week’s Put Up story concerning the arbor outerwear.
“The tree sweaters can keep!” Parks Commissioner Mitchell Silver tweeted final Sunday.
Angered West Villagers had told The Post that the rainbow threads among Bleecker and Hudson Streets boosted industry and higher foot site visitors.
“Upon reconsideration, we’ve had a metamorphosis of middle — those stunning sweaters would possibly keep on the timber for which they had been lovingly crafted,” said Parks spokesman Sam Biederman.
Local service provider Holly Boardman, FORTY NINE, put in the sweaters remaining Thanksgiving to beautify Christopher Boulevard.
