OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Police say charges are pending towards a person identified as a first responder who allegedly spit on and referred to as a kid through a racial slur in a suburban Kansas Town eating place.
The incident took place Monday evening at a Hooters eating place in Overland Park, Kansas.
Police Sgt. John Lacy advised The Kansas Town Star that the suspect is a primary responder, however didn’t say for which company. Lacy says the person doesn’t work in Kansas.
Police informed KCTV that possible charges may come with battery and creating a felony risk. Police haven’t launched the person’s identify.
Witnesses and family members of the kid instructed police the suspect called the kid, who is black, a slur while saying somebody should get the child “up off the ground.”
Police say the boy’s family was on the restaurant celebrating a birthday.
