CNN President Jeff Zucker has joined the refrain asking tech and ad companies to help monetize information on cell systems.
“Otherwise, excellent journalism will go away,” Zucker stated on the Cellular International Congress display in Barcelona on Monday.
The CNN boss also known as present US antitrust efforts misdirected.
“individuals are whether those mixtures of AT&T and Time Warner or Fox and Disney move executive approval and muster,” he stated. “the truth is nobody for some explanation why is calling at those monopolies which are Google and Fb.”
A decade ago, as president and CEO of NBCUniversal, Zucker famously complained that media firms had been in peril of “buying and selling analog bucks for virtual pennies.”
Despite The Fact That Zucker modified virtual pennies to virtual dimes, he made it clear on Monday that tech titans may just still overwhelm journalism.
“In a Google and Facebook world, monetization of digital and cellular continues to be harder than we might have anticipated or appreciated,” Zucker stated.
