KABUL, Afghanistan — Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani is calling at the Taliban to participate in peace talks to “save the country.”
Ghani spoke Wednesday on the 2nd Kabul Process Conference attended via representatives from more than 20 international locations and global businesses.
Ghani stated the Afghan executive will supply amenities and security for those Taliban who sign up for the peace procedure. He says: “we will consider the Taliban’s view within the peace talks.”
A resurgent Taliban has been blamed for much of the larger violence in Afghanistan since U.S. and NATO forces concluded struggle missions in 2014. The assaults have underscored the weaknesses of Afghan safety forces.
