Ian Rapoport desired to check with his source, while radio host Chad Dukes simply burned his.
An on-air meltdown transitioned into an unhinged Twitter tantrum Monday after Rapoport, the prime-profile NFL Network insider, hung up on Dukes’ 106.7 The Fan Washington-space sports communicate show to respond to a decision from a source for a narrative he was reporting.
Rapoport apologized straight away — “I’m sorry, i need to take this phone name, I apologize” — and many times later on Twitter, but none would be universal via the radio personality behind “Chad Dukes vs. the sector,” who was so incensed via no longer being Rapoport’s precedence that he examined what words he could use on air.
“that is the remaining time we now have that son of a whinge on this display, I swear to God,” Dukes railed after Rapoport clicked off, with audio courtesy CBS. “What a piece of rubbish. That’s twice he’s done that — and he sucked. And he sucked! He had completely no … God I hate that man.
“… within the center of the interview — i have been doing radio interviews for 15 years now — in the middle of the interview, he said, ‘I’ve were given to put the telephone down.’ Put the phone down for four mins, by no means picked it again up. only a complete and general disrespectful douche. and then to do that in the middle of a live interview, after you’ve already screwed me once? Go F yourself, dude. You get stuff unsuitable all of the time, and everyone knows it.”
Rapoport, whose job is to relay NFL news and never to entertain Dukes’ listeners, appeared stunned as Dukes took the feud to Twitter.
“I apologize for that,” Rapoport wrote after Dukes known as him an “unprofessional embarrassment.”
“the most important supply referred to as on a story I just said approximately. Couldn’t not answer it. I’m sorry we gained’t attach within the future.”
Dukes brayed into the Twittersphere, the place he shouted that Rapoport had bailed at the show twice. At one point he also by accident took his anger out on an imposter Rapoport account.
It’s coming. And it is at the podcast. @RapSheet knows what he did was unprofessional. i encourage everyone to take heed to the section & judge for themselves. https://t.co/kHdFLgHMql
